The official office provided training to female employees on life skills and institutional culture building ********************** (T/B February 17/2018):- Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority provided life skills training to female employees on the topics of "Empowering Women" and "Building Institutional Culture for Institutional Success" in the main office hall. Mrs. Hawa Wabi, head of the administration and finance office, said at the same forum organized by the authority's standardization service delivery monitoring, support and evaluation directorate, that the authority's office has made the city's traffic more comfortable. It is also making it safe. Ms. Hawa said that the results and changes are due to reforms and hard work, and women's real participation is one of these results. He urged the women in the institute to be effective in their responsibilities, lead efficiently and perform better, and that the training should be prepared and the trainees should follow closely. Next, the training titled "Empowering Women" was given by Mrs. Rachel Mulugeta, a child rights expert from the Office of Women, Children and Social Affairs. They gave extensive explanations on the topics of life skills, self-confidence, decision-making skills and women and leadership to help empower women in the areas of social, economic and personal development. According to Mrs. Rachel, women should be fed good things for the brain and develop a can-do spirit so that they can be confident in their own abilities and actively participate in society. He stated that the empowerment of women is to lead the world by laws, to ensure spiritual, economic and equality, and to enable them to have better participation and activity in their lives in general. Mhret H. Cross (Dr.) who gave the training under the topic "Building Institutional Culture for Institutional Success" is the Director of Management Training at the Addis Ababa City Administration Management Academy. He pointed out that institutional culture is a set of values, attitudes and behaviors that determine the nature of an institution and by strengthening institutional values, it is possible to increase the effectiveness of an institution. He explained that the role of institutional culture in the development of an institution is high and that it strengthens the motivation and accountability of employees, and that leadership can achieve joint results by leaving the comfort zone and working for the employees and showing mutual commitment, making them understand their environment and their institution. Finally, the women participants of the training stated that they gained good knowledge from the training and that they are ready to go towards sustainable success by applying the knowledge they have gained in their institution by strengthening the building of institutional culture. Further, it is known that the training will be given in two rounds to female managers and professionals.
