More than 600 student traffic assistants graduated ****************** (T/B December 25/2018) :- The Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority, in cooperation with the Addis Ababa Police Department, graduated 650 students trained in traffic management today at Minilik Secondary School. Director-General Amare Tareqin, who opened the graduation program with a speech, said that in traffic accidents in our city, human lives are lost, bodies are lost, and property is destroyed. In order to prevent such accidents especially in schools, the authority has given traffic management training to more than 6000 students in schools that have been identified as vulnerable to traffic accidents for the past nine years. Continuing this activity, he said that in 2018 fiscal year, 650 assistant student traffic controllers were trained in theory and practice and graduated today. Then, when the graduation ceremony was held, the assistant student traffic organizers, the teachers of 93 schools of the 11th sub-city and the traffic police members received certificates of appreciation and recognition from the advisor of the authority's office Ato Alemseged Zewde and from the director general Ato Amare Tarekhan. Finally, the students performed a traffic management demonstration accompanied by the Addis Ababa Police Marching Band to the invited guests.
