The top leaders, staff and volunteer traffic organizers of the authority conducted a seedling watering and maintenance program ********************** (T/A December 15 / 2018) :- The top leaders, staff and volunteer traffic organizers of the Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority today planted the saplings planted by Arnguade Ashara network during the winter months. Every day, they found themselves in a dense forest in Jesús, France, watering and taking care of them. Mr. Elias Zerga, the director general of the authority office, opened the ceremony with a speech. He stated that there has been an improvement in climate change due to the planting of Arengwade Ashara saplings in the last consecutive years and that the institution is fulfilling its social responsibility at the forefront of this activity. He also said that due to the fact that green footprint development work has been recognized in international forums, there is an opportunity for big conferences to be held for our country. The director-general added that he was able to carry out the second round of watering and maintenance of saplings in the dense forest of Yeka Sub-district, France during the winter months. Since trees play a significant role in protecting the climate and increasing productivity, not only planting saplings, but regular watering, weeding and general maintenance should be done until their growth is successful. It can be remembered that the leaders, employees and volunteer traffic organizers of the authority have been involved in the planting and maintenance of the palm tree saplings as a country in the past consecutive years.
