Today is the day when a new chapter in the history of Addis Ababa Police was announced. We inaugurated and officially started work on 32 new police and fire and disaster prevention facilities in all sub-districts of our city. With this, police departments, stations, camps and fire and emergency prevention facilities are ready for service. This action not only brings police and emergency services to the door of the people in our city; It enables the resident to actively participate in the process of peace building and environmental protection. In particular, the construction of these institutions in each area will greatly shorten the response time in the event of an emergency and reduce the damage to human life and property. The institutions are designed to be in line with the rapid development of our capital; They are inclusive infrastructures that use technology and have high levels of public participation, including daycare centers and clinics, and are organized with modern data collection and disaster prevention tools. On behalf of myself and the city administration, I would like to express my gratitude to all stakeholders who have enabled these significant projects to be realized on time and with quality. May the Creator bless Ethiopia and its people! Mayor Adane Abebe
