In Addis Ababa, we are working hard to bring results in service delivery as well as all our other development works! It is known that we have started using camera technology that captures sound and images mounted on the uniforms of professionals for monitoring income receipts. Today, we launched a new integrated civil registration and residency service digital system that further modernizes the delivery of civil registration and resident services. The new system combines various detailed services that allow the applicants to use their mobile phones and various technology options to get services without being physically present, eliminates the need to fill out mandatory forms, creates coordination and readability between institutions such as immigration, health, court, national ID and LOLs, allows to control the issuance of ID to anyone without the approval of the owner of the file, and many other detailed services. The Civil Registration and Vital Statistics with ID system that has been used will eliminate various abuses that were previously given on paper, and will make our extensive work more effective in preventing corruption and bringing transparency. On behalf of myself and the residents of our city, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Dr. Worku Gachena, the director general of the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute, and the institute's experts, as well as the officers and employees of the Civil Registration and Residents Agency, who enriched this important technology in a short time.
