The official office is carrying out an informative and first-of-its-kind road painting work ************** (T/M/B November 29/2018):- The Traffic Management Authority of Addis Ababa is carrying out an informative /convex/ painting work to signal drivers to reduce their speed in the city. In Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority, Road Safety and Environmental Directorate, the director Mr. Merga Sefera said that a unique and original painting work is being carried out in specific areas of the city to indicate road conditions to drivers, inform them and make them pay special attention to the place. Mr. Merga explained that the paint work is a warning for drivers to indicate the speed limit of each road and the condition of the road in front of them, to give priority to pedestrians, to avoid accidents, and to reduce their speed by paying special attention. They stated that the painting work was done from Afencho Ber to Ras Mekonen Bridge, around the Piazza-Adwa Museum, from the Piazza to the National Theater, as well as Les Gebre Mariam and Black Lion schools, Theodore Square entrance, junctions in the mentioned areas, around traffic lights, pedestrian crossings/zebras/slopes. The director said that in order to ensure road safety in all sub-districts, the same type of painting work will be strengthened.
