The IMF stated that Ethiopia is the first in terms of purchasing power in East Africa! The International Monetary Fund (IMF) announced that Ethiopia ranks first in East Africa in terms of Purchasing Power Parity (PPP). According to the report issued by the International Monetary Fund, Ethiopia recorded a huge annual gross domestic product (GDP-PPP) of 558.93 billion dollars in the same purchasing power parity balance. This allowed Ethiopia to be placed first in East Africa ahead of Kenya and Tanzania. According to the IMF report, these three countries (Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania) have a combined annual purchasing power parity of 1.35 trillion dollars. The analysis of the report indicated that this is better than the total economic capacity of many countries in the region, which are at level 4 to 19.
