Pedestrians are being made aware to develop proper road usage experience

(March 11/ 2016) :- Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority Yilda Branch Office has been given training for pedestrians to develop proper road usage experience in accordance with Traffic Control Regulation No. 395/2009 at the pedestrian crossings and roads from Mexico Square to the National Theater.
The road safety awareness and capacity building team of the branch office conducted a wide-ranging road use awareness program in cooperation with members of the traffic police control division, motorists' association members and volunteer traffic organizers.
The Traffic Management Authority of Addis Ababa found it necessary to carry out awareness raising activities first before imposing a fine of 40 to 80 birr on pedestrians who do not comply with the law based on Regulation No. 395/2009 on pedestrian crossings and squares with high traffic flow. .
