“The role of the reform is high to improve service delivery and achieve results” • Ms. Hawa Wabi, Head of the Administration and Finance Office of the Ministry of Education and Culture (March 18, 2016):- Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority Head of Administration and Finance Office Mrs. Hawa Wabi has stated that the reform will be a great force in terms of improving the services of the Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority and making the traffic movement of the city comfortable and ensuring road safety. In order to improve the delivery of government services at the city level, the authority has opened 11 branches and increased its powers and functions from 17 to 23 in order to be accessible to the public, the head said. Mrs. Hawa said that the reform is mainly focused on improving the organization and making the procedure more effective. In addition to the educational preparation, work experience and performance of the employees in the institution, in order to use the human resources properly, they are allocated based on their qualifications. According to this, 813 employees were tested in the competency assessment and 574 employees who passed the assessment and did not pass the exam were assigned according to the assignment rules. In addition, he explained that more than 300 employees from other institutions were sent to the authority's office for placement, and a total of 259 complaints were submitted from the assigned and non-allocated employees, and 54 relevant complaints were responded to. Mrs. Hawa stated that after the placement, when the reform was implemented, there were two rounds of five-day training on service delivery, ethics and plan preparation and implementation, and currently, the employees assigned to the institution have received assignment letters and started working. It is known that the authority office is one of the 16 institutions that the city administration has recently reformed.
