Happy birthday to Jesus Christ! This year, we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, believing that the promise has arrived, that the light of change has begun to shine, and that the era of transcendence is approaching. Our journey was full of ups and downs. We have faced desperate hardships. Although we do not say that the test will never visit us again, we have reached the eve of the birth of our hope. We can say with confidence that the time of redemption has come, and the time of redemption has come. The birth of Jesus Christ redeemed yesterday, saved tomorrow. Everything that happened from Adam to the birth of Christ was worth it because of the birth of Christ. Human life after the birth of Christ is upright because of Christ. Christ reconciled the two as "today" between yesterday and tomorrow. This is why we celebrate the birth of Christ with great honor. If Christ had not been born, the prophets who prophesied, the priests who offered sacrifices, the abbot who accepted the promise, and all the human beings who had hope would have remained only history. It is Christ who paid the price and made them alive. If Christ had not been born, all the works of civilization, righteousness and virtue that mankind will do in the future would not have the prospect of salvation. The one who sanctified yesterday. It is Christ who redeemed tomorrow, born today. We should heed this great lesson. No matter how great history, great heritage and great value we have yesterday, if our today is destroyed, it is worthless. Babylon and Persia, Athens and Rome, Sumer and Mesopotamia - today they no longer had their ancient glory and greatness. They had it yesterday. They lost today. Because they have lost today, their yesterday has become a memory and their tomorrow has become a dream. They have no progress but memories. Ethiopia was a great country. It was a land of great civilizations. It was a country of great kingdoms and great people. It was a country of great cultures and wonderful heritage. The question is "today". If we suffer from poverty, backwardness and hunger today, it means that we have not redeemed our history. For it is today that redeems yesterday. Yesterday is explored and interpreted in the spirit of today. Today's high will include yesterday's high. Today's disgrace will also bring yesterday's down. A generation has now been created to realize the greatness of our country. His generation has tasted the rod of poverty again and again. He has seen enough of the ugly side of backwardness. He is forced to bear the pain of yesterday's mistake until his shoulders are bent. It is a generation that has watched the captivity of the landscape come with eyes glaring and teeth gnashing. It is a generation that not only understands the gravity of the problem, but also knows how to build the crossing ship. There is no doubt that the more the number of citizens who believe that they can overcome yesterday's hardships with today's hard work, the better our tomorrow will be. The righteousness and prophecies of the prophets continued because Christ, the God of the prophets, fulfilled their prophecies. The books of prophecy gained value because of the books of the Gospel. The Old Testament was useful because of the New Testament. Today I have redeemed all yesterdays. If we want our yesterday to have value and honor, let's work hard today. If we spend most of our time in memories and memories of yesterday, let's spend it on today's struggles and ups and downs. If our today is clean and tidy, without a doubt our yesterday will get its due respect. If Christ had not been born, the era after the birth of Christ would not have been a new era. It is said, "The best way to predict tomorrow is to create tomorrow itself." Tomorrow Christ started mankind. And Christians walked on it. People who do better today create a better tomorrow. People who live today in vain, wickedness and conspiracy will make tomorrow worse. Ethiopia's tomorrow will not come only with today's work and struggle, but with today's wish and desire. Some are involved in evil deeds today to ruin Ethiopia's tomorrow. But we are busy with work that redeems tomorrow in order to straighten Ethiopia's tomorrow. Because we know that today is what redeems tomorrow, we don't sit around and wait for tomorrow. We will earn it by working for it. From Bethlehem Baret to Calvary Adababai, when mankind was sanctified yesterday, when mankind was working tomorrow, there was a lot of response. They were asleep. They were disdainful. They were killers. They were persecutors. They were conspirators. They were gossips. They were disruptive. They were active. On the other hand, those who entered and followed them; Who are united to make tomorrow. They dared to tell the truth. Those who are determined to sacrifice for the truth. Although they were few, they worked hard to produce many. When Ethiopia works, the response is different. But the ones who win are those who work hard. Victor Hugo said, "There is no power in the world that can stop an idea whose time has come." Ethiopia's prosperity is an idea whose time has come. No one can stop him. Ethiopia's greatness is an idea whose time has come. There is no force that can stop it. We stand today between yesterday and tomorrow. We make yesterday's work worthwhile today. We will build tomorrow with our work today. We celebrate Christ's birthday with this historical responsibility in mind. Happy birthday again!! May Ethiopia be proud of her children's efforts and live forever!! May the Creator bless Ethiopia and its people! December 28, 2018
