Based on the Council of Ministers Regulation No. 557/2016 issued to control traffic, 278,714 drivers who violated the rules were fined. According to the traffic management and management mandate given by the authority, the traffic management and management authority has made drivers and pedestrians guilty of violations of rules and regulations to be held accountable for the offenses committed by the drivers, with the points recorded for the offenses and the amount of fine allocated for the half of the fiscal year. In particular, 51,569 drivers who drove over the speed limit and 40,541 drivers who drove under the influence of alcohol were fined according to the level of the offense set by the regulations. Also, driving with a mobile phone in hand, driving without wearing a seat belt or making sure that the person riding on the driver's side is wearing it, without wearing a protective head cap/helmet or motorcyclists who do not meet the appropriate safety conditions; For public transport service, drivers who did not respect the 6 colored lines (DBL) and other rule violations were strictly controlled and corrective measures were taken. In addition, 25,680 pedestrians who did not cross pedestrian crossings at 31 high-risk areas, jumped over pedestrian fences and entered the vehicle road, traveled on vehicle roads without sufficient reason and committed other offenses, while 13,776 were fined according to Rule 557/2016; 11,904 were given social services. The authority office will continue to strengthen the strict control supported by awareness to make the traffic movement of the city peaceful and to protect the safety of the road users in the current half of the fiscal year.
