(Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority / Pagume 2, 2018 E.C.): A panel discussion was held at the headquarters of the Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority to mark Pagume 2—designated as the "Day of Resurgence"—recognizing it as the day Ethiopia began its transition from sluggish growth toward comprehensive advancement.

Mr. Biniyam Getachew, Director of the Parking Study and Infrastructure Directorate, presented the discussion paper. He highlighted the new economic and structural successes the country has achieved after navigating challenging circumstances, as well as the dawn of new hope and the transition to a higher level of development and progress.

He further elaborated that the day serves to announce these milestones to the public and the international community, noting that it represents a period of resurgence and broad national transformation—across social, economic, and technological sectors—driven by the adoption and implementation of experiences from various nations around the world. Mr. Biniyam noted that Pagume 2—the day leading up to the New Year—serves as a "Day of Rejuvenation," a time to reflect on achievements in national productivity, agriculture, technology, and major development projects.

After the staff attentively followed and discussed the presented document, the institution's Director General, Mr. Kebebew Mideksa, remarked that the Pagume days constitute a special week for bidding farewell to the old year and welcoming the new one; he described the "Day of Rejuvenation" as an occasion for every employee to formulate new plans and renew their work motivation—aiming for personal success, the institution's progress, and the country's comprehensive prosperity.
Consequently, he urged the staff to prepare for greater achievements, driven by a renewed spirit for their own growth, as well as that of the institution and the city.
