The authority stated that the office was forced to make this uniform change based on its vision to further modernize the contactless parking payment system that started in the 2017 fiscal year. Therefore, in the process so far, it is said that more than 4 thousand members organized under 4 hundred and 46 parking associations are providing services under the modern payment system. In addition, it has been pointed out that the modern system has generated more than 100 million birr for the members of the associations and the city administration since its inception. It has been stated that this has created a wide range of job opportunities for the city community by avoiding the usual practice. On the other hand, he saw that the preparation of the new uniform is of great importance to easily distinguish the legal service providers from the illegal ones and to create reliable security for the users. According to Binyam Getachew, the Authority's Director of Parking Development Management; The new uniforms have been prepared and the work is being done to make the unions aware that they should use them only during working hours.
