First aid training was provided ************************** (T/B February 20/2018) :- The Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority, in collaboration with Abet Hospital, provided training to traffic control experts, volunteer traffic dispatchers and teachers on first aid delivery. The main objective of the training is to save the life of a person who has been injured due to a traffic accident by immediately providing first aid and care until he reaches the health facility. Based on this, it has become necessary to provide training to those working in the field of road safety as partners with the institute. Under the coordination of the road safety awareness and capacity building directorate of the authority, the training of the day was given by the medical director of the intensive care unit of Abet Hospital, Dr. the new Imam. Dr. Al-Ashmi gave theoretical and practical training focusing on the nature of first aid, the responsibilities of trainees, legal support for first aid providers, and the parts of the body that provide first aid and the precautions that should be taken. In particular, the trainees should impart the skills they have acquired to other members of the society in their area and they have asked the authorities to do their part by helping the post-disaster response. Finally, the program of the day was completed by giving participation certificates to the trainees.
