Capacity building training was given to the members of civic associations working to ensure road safety. According to Director General Amare Tareqin, the official office is working hard to ensure road safety and make the flow peaceful. In order to reduce traffic accidents and ensure safety, the authority office is achieving excellent results by supporting various awareness campaigns, road engineering, traffic control, and post-disaster response activities with technology, said the director general, adding that the role of civic associations is also important for the results, so it should continue to be strengthened. The Director-General requested all stakeholders to do their part as it is not only the responsibility of one institution to create a road user society that is aware of the seriousness of traffic accidents by raising awareness of road safety, but requires joint coordination. Next, the leaders of the Road Safety Awareness and Capacity Building Directorate, Mr. Barnabas Hailu and Mr. Tesfaye Berhe, presented a training document focused on road safety. In the documents, road safety information, poles, causes of traffic accidents have been explained in accident reports. The participants also announced that they will help the institute's efforts to ensure road safety.
