Training was provided on works to ensure road safety and post-disaster response ************************** (T/B November 26/2018) :- Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority Bole branch office today provided training to health professionals from the district on work to ensure road safety and pre-disaster prevention as well as quick post-disaster response. Director of the Directorate Ato Amare said that the official office is working hard to ensure road safety and make the flow peaceful. Therefore, Mr. Amare pointed out that since the participation of partners is important in ensuring road safety, coordination should be strengthened for pre-disaster prevention and quick post-disaster response. He added that health professionals will play a major role in spreading awareness of road safety to the public and asked them to do their part to reduce the number of deaths and injuries caused by traffic accidents by providing quick post-accident response. Ato Habtamu Asege, a senior road safety expert, presented a document regarding the road management works that need to be done in coordination to ensure road safety, i.e. safe roads, infrastructure, vehicles, road users, and effective post-disaster response. Finally, the participants presented their ideas and opinions regarding the joint work to ensure road safety in the long run.
