A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority and the Addis Ababa Police General Department. It was held today in the hall of the official office. According to this, the internal and international interaction is growing rapidly and the number and movement of vehicles in relation to its economic and social activity is increasing day by day. Addis Ababa Traffic Management Trainee is working to have an integrated traffic management implementation system supported by modern technology. In particular, due to the work we are doing with the Addis Ababa Traffic Police for one purpose, the danger to people and property has been improving over time. Addis Ababa Police General Department Crime Traffic Accident Prevention Department Commander Deputy Commissioner Fikru Alemayheu said that crime has decreased by 40 percent today due to the crime prevention activities carried out by our institution. He said that because our capital is being heavily developed, tourists can go in and out without any security concerns. In the past few months, the city has hosted meetings from continental to international without any problems, the commissioner said, as the traffic movement and safety should be implemented in the same way, we have signed an agreement today to work in coordination with the Addis Ababa Traffic Management Authority. According to the structure of both institutions spread from the center to the sub-city, it is important to create a common platform where the activities can be evaluated and the performance is evaluated.
