- In the last three days alone, 213 drivers were fined for violating the rules of drunk driving. Special level offenses are fined. The institution conducted a three-day operation against drunken driving, which is the primary cause of traffic collisions, in conjunction with the January road safety awareness campaign. From 2:00 pm to 10:00 am, 1,376 drivers were tested with alcohol breathalyzers and 107 of them were fined. Gulele branch office together with the traffic police members conducted a strict control in the new market area from 2:00 pm to 6:00 am. At the same time, 675 drivers were fined for having drunk more than 0.24 milligrams per liter in the breathalyzer in an operation conducted by the Yeka branch office in coordination with the traffic police from 2:00 pm to 6:00 am. The same road safety awareness campaign and monitoring of violators will continue till January 30, 2018.
