The authority announced that Alfoz Plaza and Sami Building, which illegally released toilet sewage in the corridor development, were fined /800,000/eight hundred thousand birr. They were fined. According to the regulation No. 180/2017 issued by the city administration (Addis Ababa City Administration's Riverside Development and Pollution Prevention Regulation), they were fined 400,000 (four hundred thousand) birr each for a total of 800,000 (eight hundred thousand) birr and administrative action was taken against them. It is stated that the action taken is part of the strict control initiated to protect the beauty of the city and to enforce the regulations issued to prevent environmental pollution. The authority called upon any institution and individual to refrain from doing such polluting activities and to abide by the laws issued. The Addis Ababa City Administration Regulation Enforcement Authority has announced that action will be taken against individuals and institutions that violate the rules.
