The authority office in collaboration with the Addis Ababa Police General Department, under the motto "Let's save lives by obeying the traffic law", the campaign program for road safety awareness and control, which was conducted for a month since January 1/2018, has been completed. *589 drivers were found to be under the influence of alcohol. ********************* (T/M/B February 1/2018) :- Addis Ababa City Administration Traffic Management Authority in cooperation with the Addis Ababa Police General Department under the motto "Let's save lives by complying with the traffic law" which has been running for one month since January 1/2018, the movement program of road safety awareness and strict control was completed yesterday. Birhanu Kuma, director of road safety awareness and capacity building directorate, who delivered a message at the movement summary program held at Garment Square in Lafto sub-district, said that the awareness work supported by control has been working in 11 sub-cities and the control work is 24/7 working principle. He pointed out that the work of awareness and control will continue to be strengthened with the continuous use of human resources and technology. In addition, Addis Ababa Police Department's Head of Public Awareness and Community Participation, Mr. Solomon Adane, mentioned that since it is the season of various religious festivals and weddings, he has been working together with the authorities to save precious human lives and stop the destruction of property in one month. Finally, the program was completed by giving certificates to drivers and pedestrians who used the correct road usage during the hour.
