550 assistant student traffic organizers were graduated in the presence of the members of the transport sector delegation. Ababa City Transport Office and responsible institutions in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and Logistics trained the traffic management authority in the presence of the members of the Regional Transport Officers Group who came to our capital to exchange experience in the transport sector. 550 assistant student traffic police officers graduated today. The Authority, in collaboration with the Addis Ababa Police Commission, gave voluntary students from 84 schools that are vulnerable to traffic accidents in the city a theoretical and practical training on road safety and basic road traffic management, and graduated from Applied Opportunities Polytechnic College, Gibi. At the graduation program, Minister of Transport and Logistics Berho Hassan said that while traffic accidents are man-made and preventable, they are killing productive citizens and harming the economy. However, after the change, we have been able to reduce the risk in our country and city because we have been able to work hard. In his speech, Mr. Kbebewu Mideksa, the director general of the authority office, mentioned that since its establishment, the institution has been carrying out many activities to improve the traffic flow and safety of our city, especially to prevent the ada from schools. He further announced that the office will work diligently to reduce the risk and damage caused by traffic collisions by strengthening road safety activities with stakeholders. Thanking those who contributed to the success of the training, especially the members of the traffic police, they asked the graduate assistant student traffic policemen who joined the act of kindness to fulfill their responsibilities properly by performing activities to protect their schools and local communities from road traffic accidents. The graduating students will conduct traffic management work during school entrance and exit hours, road safety awareness campaigns at their respective schools, and traffic management work in their residential areas on holidays and vacations. The program started with the Ethiopian National Anthem and the graduating students presented to the participants of the event the task of organizing the traffic police officers. In addition, members of the defense marching band performed a variety of instrumental national music. Finally, trainee students, traffic policemen and teachers who performed better in the training; Certificates were also awarded to all graduating assistant student traffic police officers.
