A discussion was held regarding the implementation of a project designed to modernize the parking management system and traffic fines. .m):- The Traffic Management Authority of Addis Ababa held a discussion with the relevant stakeholders regarding the status of the proposed parking and traffic penalty system. Binyam Getachew, director of the parking management directorate of the authority, said that the development work has reached 97 percent and is ready for trial implementation. According to the director, the city administration has collected the complete information of the drivers from the driver and vehicle licensing and control authority, and the feedback given by the stakeholders has been incorporated and improved. For their part, experts from Infra Tech, a private company, presented a document indicating the detailed techniques and ideas included in the project to modernize the functions of the traffic control and parking management system. Finally, at the beginning of the next fiscal year, the top management of the authority has given directions to create awareness among the users about the system and provide important information to enable it to be put into action. Experts and officials from the Addis Ababa Transit Office, Infra Tech Private Company and the Motor Vehicle Control Authority participated in the discussion.
